Modern Criminal Law Cases Comments and Questions Wayne R LaFave Books
I am a 1L student, and I found this book harder to read than Con Law I book. This might be the worst book that has ever been written about Criminal Law because it is not clear explaining the concepts. The book uses other secondary sources like law reviews to explain the concepts, and that is even more confusing because those who wrote the law reviews or treaties already know or have some familiarities with the criminal law where I, as a first year law student, have no familiarity with the subject. This book can be easy to read for those who have criminal law background, but for those, like me, who have no prior experience with the criminal law, this book can be challenging to read and understand. I wish the author used an easier way to translate the legalese, concepts, and the law to the first year law students. Also, I think it is important for authors to see who their audiences are when they write their books because in this case, law students are their audience, not professors or law experts. I only read this book for its cases, and for understanding the law and the concepts, I heavily rely on my supplement.
Moreover, for those professors who are teaching criminal law, please use a book that is easy to read and understand, and this book is not definitely one of them. This book is been written from the defense perspective, and for those students who want to pursue their careers as prosecutor, buy a supplement that could help you to see both perspectives.

Modern Criminal Law Cases Comments and Questions Wayne R LaFave Books Reviews
Perfect
Book was not as well a condition as I thought, but still readable and usable. The Delivery was also timely.
Thank you!
I like it
Good supplement good for 1L year
i realize this textbook was offered at a substantially lowered cost, but is so damaged as to be unusable. now i have to make a new purchase at the last minute.
Sorry your prof made you buy this. That should be a crime. You can't learn the law from casebooks. You learn cases from case books, you learn law from outlines.
